The Guiding Principles of My Educational Philosophy:
Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.” (Einstein, n.d). I cannot predict Einstein's educational philosophy, but my own guiding principles help me to work towards providing good learning conditions as part of my ever-evolving philosophy of education. The development of a philosophy is a complex activity that results in a product that is not set in stone, but needs to be able to adapt with the circumstances of the working environment and the growth of the individual. During my journey through the OLTD program, I have found that the PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY that I wrote about in OLTD 503 has become more focused so now I have 5 filter questions that I can use to evaluate, clarify, and refine any new lesson, technology, idea, format, initiative or program. Each click below will bring you to one of my 5 guiding questions.
